Dental Fillings
Dental fillings are a simple and effective solution for repairing teeth affected by cavities, minor fractures, or everyday wear. By removing the damaged portion of the tooth and restoring it with durable filling materials, we help preserve your natural tooth structure while restoring its strength and function. At Chitra Dental Clinic, we provide tooth-coloured dental fillings that blend naturally with your smile.
Dental Crowns
When a tooth is severely damaged, weakened, or treated with root canal therapy, a dental crown helps restore its shape, strength, and appearance. Custom-made to fit comfortably over the existing tooth, crowns protect it from further damage while allowing you to bite, chew, and smile with confidence. Our dental crowns are designed for durability, comfort, and a natural look.
Dental Bridges
Missing teeth can affect your ability to chew, speak, and maintain proper alignment. Dental bridges are a reliable tooth replacement option that fills the gap by supporting an artificial tooth with adjacent natural teeth or implants. At Chitra Dental Clinic in Chennai, we provide customised dental bridges that restore both function and aesthetics while helping maintain long-term oral health.
Tooth Restoration
Every damaged tooth requires a personalised approach. Depending on your condition, tooth restoration may involve fillings, crowns, bridges, or other restorative procedures that rebuild the tooth while preserving as much natural structure as possible. Our goal is to restore comfort, function, and appearance with treatment plans tailored to your individual dental needs.

Below are answers to the most common questions, concerns, and procedural details regarding Restorative Dentistry (RCT & Fillings) at Chitra Dental Clinic.
A tooth is made of three layers, 1. The strong, hard outermost enamel, 2. The intermediately tough dentin, and 3. The soft innermost pulp that contains the nerve ending, blood vessels and others cells which maintain the vitality of the tooth. When dental decay progresses, deep cavity form that may reach the pulp, exposing it to the exterior. Exposure of the pulp may also occur due to erosion/trauma (e.g., tooth fracture). Whenever the pulp is exposed, it develops inflammation and infection. For this, there are two treatment options: 1. Extraction of the tooth, 2. Retention of the tooth by root canal treatment. Such an endodontically treated tooth can function normally in the mouth. If untreated, the tooth develops pain, swelling, etc., and the infection can spread deeper into the bone.
